Temple Christian offers families with infants through four-year-olds an opportunity for quality education in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Last year, school nurse, Nicole Sweeney established a preschool for children three to four years old, which included a small class of about seven to eight children. This year the preschool expanded to include a daycare and provides educational services to eighteen preschoolers. They learn lessons that incorporate Spanish, physical education, music, art, and technology as a course of studies.
As for this year, they have added daycare for infants and toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 36 months) in the Lima Baptist Temple’s nursery. The daycare consists of four babies and seven toddlers. Infants are provided care based on their individual needs. Toddlers are encouraged to participate in age-appropriate educational activities that assist academic, group interaction, and motor development skills.
Director Erin Marshall of Little Pioneer Early Learning School explained, “We enjoy showing and teaching our little ones about Christ’s love. In addition to quality daycare, we provide hands-on learning experiences to help our students get ready for grade school.”
