This year, Temple’s Junior/Senior Banquet was held on April 26 at the Howard Johnson. The theme was “Evening in Venice”, and the room was decorated like the city, complete with gondolas and lanterns. Students enjoyed a dinner of chicken, ham, green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes and then went to the dance floor where they did several dances such as the Electric Slide, Macarena, and the Cha-Cha Slide. After the dancing, the seniors were surprised with a slide show that showed pictures of their younger years and how they have changed through the years.
“This year was a little bit different because the students ate their meal, got to dance, and then watched a video for the seniors,” said Mrs. Sutton, a teacher at Temple. “I think they had fun. Everyone looked really nice and kept it classy in the dancing department.”
“It was special and it ran smoothly,” commented Alayna DeLeon, a junior at Temple. “I was happy with the way everything came together that we had been working on.”
After the banquet the students went to an after-party at Westgate Bowling Center.
“We had fun bowling, and we won several gift cards,” said Ethan Rex, a sophomore.
“It was fun. It’s a lot different your senior year because it’s your last thing to do,” said Natalie Johnston
