Temple Christian School – 1978

TCS Celebrates Forty Years!

On September 7, 1976, the private Christian school known as Temple Christian was founded in Lima, Ohio. At that time, our current superintendent, Bruce Bowman, was in fifth grade and a part of the first ever TCS student body! One of sixty-eight then, he now administrates for 240 elementary, middle, and high school students!

Throughout the last forty years, the school has seen many changes in sizing, staff, administration, athletics, EC activities, spiritual programs/projects, and more! We’ve seen many staff members come and go, along with a lot of new additions. However, Mrs. Katherine Brorein and Mrs. Julie Lawrence have been here faithfully teaching during the first years and even still today! No matter the transitions, Temple has always stuck true to their spiritual and moral values, making sure students are being spiritually impacted in multiple aspects. Here’s to forty years of “Faith. Wisdom. Service” as our school verse, Colossians 3:23, says, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” Happy 40th Anniversary, Temple Christian.
