This week’s spotlight is on freshman, Carol Smith. She joins us from homeschooling for the past four years. So the TCS environment is a bit different for her this year. Her favorite meal here so far is pizza, pepperoni specifically. Carol’s favorite movies are “God’s Not Dead” 1 and 2; her favorite songs are “Good Good Father” from Chris Tomlin and “You Are More” by Tenth Avenue North.
When asked what she thought about TCS so far she stated that it is great and she loves it. She said, “The people are kind and outgoing. I love it!” When asked what is different about here compared to her last school she said, “At my previous school, I didn’t have to carry around anything and only sat at the computer. Now, I have to carry everything around, actually communicate with people and teachers and I move to different classes, moving here was totally worth it!” When also asked how it feels to be at the high school with the older kids she said, “I feel like a little kid, even though they’re the only a few years older than me.” Carol’s favorite teacher in the high school is the art teacher, Mrs. B. Her favorite color is blue. Miss Smith’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Her favorite thing about school is meeting people and getting to know them. Her favorite classes so far are science and art.
