Lexi Bayliff

Senior Spotlight: Lexi Bayliff

Alexandria Grace Lois Bayliff was born on May 11, 1999, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. She is currently seventeen years old and a senior at Temple Christian High School, where she has attended since her freshman year. Previously, Lexi attended Heir Force Academy and the Lima City Schools Arts Magnet program for eight years. Her life verse is 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10, which states, “And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” She chose this as her life verse because her middle name is Grace and the verse states that God is sufficient so there is no condemnation through Christ. It reminds her that His grace carries her when she feels weak, and He uses that weakness for his glory. When Lexi was asked who the most influential or inspirational person in her life has been, she explained, “My mom is because she is a very strong woman of God and she gives Him all the glory, no matter what. I learn from her all the time.”

When asked her favorite TV show, Lexi stated Timeless and Downtown Abbey due to their historical scenes and intense plot lines. Lexi has many favorite movies, The Age of Adaline and Sarah’s Key among some. She has a wide variety of taste in music and is currently enjoying the La La Land soundtrack, Christian artist Hollyn, and as always, songs from Bethel Music and their worship artists. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, talking with her friends and family, going to Biggby Coffee, vintage fashion, Pinteresting, watching Netflix, journaling, and spending time with Jesus. One day, Lexi plans to take several missions trips to share with all types of people the love Jesus has for them and the power of His gospel. She is also considering studying abroad for a year.

Working as a sales associate at Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company, Lexi makes popcorn and sells it to customers. She also works at Westgate Entertainment Center as an after school bowling league monitor. Lexi is very involved in extracurricular activities in and out of school, including being a member of the National Honor Society, leading her FCA huddle, participating in plays and musicals, a member of the girl’s varsity bowling team, a choir member, and in honors journalism with Quill and Scroll. Lexi attends Firm Foundation Christian Center in Elida. She is also very involved in Teens for Christ, attending the Shawnee Sr. High Chapter and being on the ministry team for three seasons. When asked how she felt about being a senior, she said, “It’s a great feeling knowing that I’m so close to my future, and I’m excited that I am able to be a more influential and impactful leader in the school.”

After high school, Lexi plans to go to attend Wright State University in Dayton to pursue a major in mass communication and a possible minor in history. She has been accepted into the University Honors Program and plans to live in their honors hall. Lexi is also the 2017 TCS Salutatorian. Thank you for taking the time to share about yourself! Have a great end of your senior year, Lexi!
