Senior Jacob Helser, 17, was born on April 30, 2000. Jacob has been attending Temple Christian school for seven years. He is the son of Jeff Helser and Katie Helser, a faculty member at Temple. Jacob has two sisters, Lizzie and Elaina, who both attend Temple Christian School as well. He is a member of the Temple Christian bowling team. Jacob Helser currently attends Union Chapel Mission Church. After high school, Jacob hopes to get a good paying job. His dream is to become the president of the United States. He says that if he had the opportunity to spend the day with any famous person, he would choose Teddy Roosevelt.
Jacob’s favorite part of high school was in the ninth grade, when his class did an activity called “Christmas Brother,” a Christmas gift giving game. Jacob wants the underclassmen at Temple Christian to realize that they do not know what will happen tomorrow. Temple’s encouragement to make realistic goals for oneself has affected Jacob’s life greatly. Jacob Helser stated that his favorite verse is Matthew 19:26, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Congratulations, Jacob, and good luck in your future!
