Victoria Rae Stoddard was born to Kimberly and Timothy Stoddard at 12:02 a.m. on February 2, 1999, at St. Rita’s Hospital. She is currently eighteen years old and is a senior at Temple Christian School. She has attended Temple for a total of nine years. During high school, she has been involved in many activities! She is first chair flute in the band, she has participated in the play “Anchors Aweigh,” and she has participated in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities throughout her high school career. Victoria enjoys being a quiet leader and helping others, and she plans to pursue these interests by becoming a police officer after graduating high school.
Victoria has chosen Matthew 5:9 as her life verse, which states, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” She believes this scripture applies to her passion for helping others and pursuing police work. When asked if she could spend a day with anyone, she said she would choose her dad. Her father passed away when she was just one year old, and she would love to get to know him. Victoria also loves music and reading, with her favorite song being “Bleeding Out” by Imagine Dragons. Her favorite book is the “Embrace” series by Jessica Shirvington, and her favorite movie is “Frequency”.
Victoria has said that she wants to live in Texas someday, due to its constant warmth proximity to the friends and family that she knows there. When asked about her dream vacation, she immediately responded with going to a secluded forest, hopefully with her husband, and hiking. She enjoys peace and solitude, and looks forward to one day making this a reality. Thank you for your time, Victoria, and have a great finish to your senior year!
Senior John The Baptist Roswell Powell, 18, was born on November 27, 1998, in St. Mary’s Ohio at Memorial Hospital. This is his third year attending Temple Christian year as he transferred here from St. Mary’s High School his sophomore year. John currently resides in Shawnee with his mother Kerri, father Tom, sister Josephine, and sister Audrey. He also has an older sister Lydia who is enrolled at the University of Cincinnati and serves in the United States Air Force.
While at Temple Christian School, John participated in one year of varsity boy’s bowling, was a sophomore attendant of the 2015 Homecoming Court, and has been in art for three years. In his free time, John enjoys physical exercise, fishing, watching Netflix, and spending time with friends. He also works as a crew chief at Lima’s I.H.O.P on Elida Rd. On Sundays, John attends Wapak Community Worship Center with his family. John drives a silver 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. Currently, his favorite T.V. show is Iron Fist due to its exciting storyline and great fighting scenes. Man of Steel is his favorite movie because it inspires him. John’s favorite Christian artist is Lecrae, and he enjoys his song “Blessings” which features Ty Dolla Sign. When asked his favorite celebrity, John replied with Conan O’Brien.
John’s favorite vacation was during the summer of 2015 when he went to Wisconsin Dells with his friend’s family. His dream vacation is going to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, which he does almost every chance he gets. If he gets the chance, John would like to travel to China one day to experience the dramatic cultural difference. When asked his favorite elementary memory, John looks back to a field trip he took with his kindergarten class to a farm he remembers being called Sunshine Valley. Additionally, his favorite middle school memory was going to Beulah Beach on Lake Erie in Mount Vermillion, Ohio with his class from Grand Lake School. John’s favorite quote is by Benjamin Franklin who stated, “Never do tomorrow what you can do today.”.
John shared that his favorite part of senior year has been going on a field trip with the art class to Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Lima. Philippians 4:13 is his favorite verse: “I can do all things through Christ because he gives me strength.” (I.C.B.). When asked his role model, John stated, “My mom because she is a great example of what a Christian should look like.” After graduation, John plans to join the United State Air Force and attend The University of Cincinnati to major in Nursing. Ten years from now, John sees himself living in Cincinnati and working at a hospital there, possibly married with one child. John shared, “The thing I will miss the most about Temple is seeing my classmates every day.”

Elisha Christina Winegardner was born on July 11, 1998, to parents Greg and Kimberly Winegardner, and she is currently eighteen years old. She has an older brother, Nathan, who graduated from Temple last year, and a younger sister, Lydia, who also attends Temple. Elisha has attended Temple Christian School for five years. During her time at Temple, Elisha has been involved in musicals and plays (Fiorello, Anchors Aweigh, and Little Women), played basketball and volleyball, and sang on the praise team during Wednesday chapel services. When asked what her favorite part of high school is, Elisha said that she is most looking forward to graduating because she will be able to move on to the next chapter of her life and see what God has in store for her. She attends Only Believe Ministries Christian Center in Botkins, where she is very involved in her youth group and is a member of their praise team.
Elisha plans to intern at her church after graduating high school. James 1:2-5 is her life verse, which says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Elisha dreams of living in New York City someday and wants to visit Europe. When asked who she would spend her day with if she could spend it with any celebrity, she said that she would choose Andrew Garfield. Sydney Anne Biglow was born on May 19, 1998, to parents Paul Biglow and Christy Norris. This is her second year at Temple after transferring from Lima Senior before her junior year. During high school, Sydney has been on a rover team that traveled to Alabama, played soccer, and was on the bowling team. While at Temple she felt that the weekly chapel services impacted her the most. Her favorite part of school is lunch because it is a great time to socialize and regroup before heading to her afternoon classes. Sydney chose Ephesians 6:10 as her life verse, which states, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” The verse is a great reminder of the steadfast power of Christ that upholds and strengthens us through even the hardest times. Sydney attends Lima Baptist Temple on Sundays.
After high school, Sydney plans to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio to earn her degree in medical assisting. When asked where she would want to live someday, Sydney stated that she would love to live somewhere in the countryside, as it is so much more peaceful and serene than the city. Sydney enjoys watching Christmas movies and says that if she could spend a day with any celebrity, she would choose to spend it with Jennifer Aniston. Her dream vacation is somewhere on a beach with white sands and clear waters. Thank you for your time, Sydney! Have an amazing rest of your senior year!
