Hello TCS families. I hope everyone has had a good week. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near”. Lets all take advantage of opportunities to encourage others throughout this next week. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you. Have a great weekend!
6th Grade Greek Olympics:
The 6th Grade history class has been studying ancient Greece and participating in the annual Greek Olympics over the past three weeks. Students were divided into three city-states and competed in various events including academics, athletics, and design challenges.
Congratulations to the Spartans for winning this year’s Greek Olympics. The citizens of Sparta included Brianna Smith, Elijah White, Quinten Waters, and Jace McDonald. Awards will be presented at the Greek Olympics closing ceremony during history class on Friday.
Having Fun with Science:
3rd and 5th grade science has been electrifying! We have explored static electricity with balloons, designed series and parallel circuits, watched iron filings create interesting designs over magnets, and made electromagnets to pick up paper clips. We are “attracted” to magnetism and love investigating. What fun!
STEM in 1st Grade:
Mrs. Rager’s first grade class has been enjoying the challenge of completing LEGO task cards during centers this week. It’s been a great way to incorporate STEM into our daily work!
