Weekly Newsletter

Friday – March 23rd 2018

Hello TCS families. I hope everyone has had a good week.  I Corinthians 15:3,4 says, “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures”.  As we prepare to celebrate Easter, we can praise the Lord for the tremendous Gospel message shared in these verses. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.

Spring Picture Day:

Spring Picture Day is April 3, our first day back from Easter Break. Order forms and flyers will be distributed this week. Those who are getting spring pictures taken may wear appropriate dress clothes rather than their regular school uniforms. Remember, all clothing must be modest and appropriate according to TCS standards. Boys: Dress pants and dress shirts (polos or button-up shirts). Girls: Dress pants and dress shirts/blouses, dresses, skirts and blouses.

Reading Month Craft Day:

Elementary students had fun making Hawaiian themed crafts today as part of their reading month celebration.  Students chose from Aloha Lantern, Pineapple, and Lei crafts to make.  Older students buddied up with younger students to make the craft of their choosing.  It was a great way for the kids to express themselves creatively after all the hard work they have been doing getting their reading minutes in.  It was also nice to see the older students help the younger ones, and the younger kids liked the one-on-one attention they received from the older kids.

4-H Club demonstration:

Our upper elementary students had some furry, four- legged visitors on Tuesday from the  Allen County K-9, 4-H Club. Students learned all about training family dogs and the ins and outs of 4-H.  Thank you Renee Painter from 4-H for the fun and interactive experience!
