Third Grade Field Trip

Last Monday, the third grade went to the Johnny Appleseed Farm Park to see what it was like to live during the 1800s. Students were able to make a tin ornament, dip a candle, and press apples to make apple cider.  They learned some of the tools they would use to work and build cabins.  The most fun was to try out the toys of the time period such as walking with stilts and rolling rings. It was a great day.

Superior Financial Day

On Tuesday, September 25th, Mr. Green and Mrs. Cooper took the Junior Economics and Applied Mathematics classes to the 2018 Superior Financial Education Day hosted by the University of Northwestern Ohio.  As part of the event, our students participated in the Real Money/Real World Simulation (OSU Extension Signature Program).  It was an interactive, hands-on experience that gave them the opportunity to make simulated lifestyle and budget choices similar to those adults face on a daily basis.

Elementary Chapel

The elementary had the opportunity to have Deputy Damien Tibbs speak this morning in Chapel.  Deputy Tibbs serves as our school resource officer along with several other area schools. He is also the pastor of New Life Christian Missionaries here in Lima. Deputy Tibbs did a remarkable job of sharing with our elementary students ways that he shares Jesus with people everywhere! He also shared how important it is to show Christ’s love wherever we go. We all enjoyed the important message Deputy Tibbs shared.

See You at the Pole

Thanks to all of the students, parents, and staff members who attended our See You at the Pole event on Wednesday morning.  The TCS student government and praise team did a great job of organizing and leading the event. We had a special time singing praise songs and praying for our country, our government officials, our school, etc.  Those that attended also had the opportunity of enjoying doughnuts at the conclusion of the event.

Box Tops Winning Class

We have a winner! Our winning class is the K5 class with a total of 250 Box Tops! The class was rewarded with a special treat and an extra recess. Great job Kindergartners!

Breast Cancer Awareness Dress Down Day

TCS Student Government is sponsoring a breast cancer awareness dress down day on Monday October 1st. Participation in the Pink dress down day requires a $2 donation. Proceeds will go towards the Mercy Health Pink Ribbon Warrior Organizations in Lima.
