New School Resource Officer:

We are excited to share with you that we have invited Deputy Damien Tibbs from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department to join us at Temple as our school resource officer. Deputy Tibbs is the school resource officer for several Allen County schools.  Deputy Tibbs is also a pastor in our Lima community.  You may see him periodically in our parking lot or in our buildings. We are blessed to have Deputy Tibbs at Temple with absolutely no cost to TCS.  I have included a picture below so that you will recognize him when you see him.

Sports Physicals:

Physical Packets are available in the HS office. These are required for next year’s 7-12th Graders who want to participate in Athletics. O.I.O is offering a free physical on May 8th from 5:30-7:30pm. If you have questions about the physicals packet please email athletic director BJ McPheron (mcpheronbj@tcslima.org). Forms are available in the HS office or online under the Athletics Tab.

Art Field Trip:

The junior and senior art students went to the Toledo Museum of Art and the Art Glass Pavilion Wednesday May 3rd. They were able to get some group photos outside around the beautiful building and sculptures and see some incredible pieces of art. The students had lunch at Manos Greek Restaurant, allowing the artists to enjoy a true Mediterranean experience.

5th Grade Field Trip:

On Tuesday, the fifth-graders enjoyed the hands-on science experiments and activities at the Imagination Station in Toledo.  The students loved the simulator roller coaster, riding the high wire bicycle, getting “blown away” in the hurricane tunnel, and so much more!  What an exciting and inspiring field trip! Take a look at some of our photos.
