5th Grade Field Trip
What an adventure 5th grade had last Friday! We travelled back to the beginning of the 20th century by discovering the high wheel bikes at the Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen. Then, fast-forward to 1969, we visited the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta. Each student had the opportunity to experience the anti- gravity exhibit. Such a fun and educational day to see how modes of transportation have progressed through the years!
Yearbook advisor Mrs. Susan Searcy and three leaders of the TCS Yearbook staff (Abby Johnston, Shelby Feeney, and Alexis Waters) had the opportunity of attending a Yearbook Workshop at Wapakoneta High School on Tuesday Sept. 19 th . They learned many new things about producing yearbooks. They learned about theming, organization, and many other interesting topics. They were able to see many other schools’ yearbooks and gain valuable ideas from many good resources. The students learned a lot and had a great time.
TCS Spirit Store
The spirit store will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:45 – 3:30 P.M. The store is located in the junior high hallway in the back building.
See You at the Pole
We will be holding this prayer event at the TCS flagpole on Wednesday morning September 27th at 7:30 a.m. All elementary students in grades K4-2nd grade must be accompanied by an adult. Otherwise, they are welcome to sit in the hallway and pray with Miss Mays.
Positive Referral Donations needed
Each week in grades 6-12, we recognize a student for his or her positive contributions to the TCS atmosphere. Teachers can “write up” students for their positive actions and service to TCS, and each week they are entered into a drawing. Would you be willing to donate $10 Gift Cards for these positive referral winners? Last year we were able to reward 20+ students for their positive attitudes and contributions to their peers and teachers. If you would like to help, please notify Mr. McPheron (email@example.com) or drop off your donation of Gift Cards or Cash to the HS office (labeled “Positive Referral”). Examples of Gift Cards (Taco Bell, Gas Stations, Menchies, Movie Theatre, Fast Food, etc.)
Temple Christian School is in need of a commercial refrigerator for our lunchroom. If anyone would be interested in helping us meet our need, please contact Mr. Bowman in the elementary office at 419-227-1644. We would be greatly appreciative of either a new commercial refrigerator or a gently used one.
