Hello TCS families. We trust that you have had a good week and hope that you enjoy a great weekend. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.
The Lima Baptist Temple is hosting a community event known as Revive Ohio next week. Over fifty churches are coming together to take the Gospel to the Lima community. The church will be hosting several meals as well as evening services throughout the week. Please be extra careful in our parking lot as there will be additional traffic in the mornings each day. Please be praying that Revive Ohio will be a successful event in transforming Lima for the cause of Christ.
The 2017 TCS Homecoming is just three weeks away! Please plan to join us on Friday night September 29th and Saturday September 30th as we enjoy another year of homecoming events. A schedule of events for the weekend will be released soon. If you are interested in helping with homecoming, please email Stacy Menke at firstname.lastname@example.org. School Parent Alert Messages:
If you have not been receiving Parent Alert text messages from the school, please contact the school office at 419 227-1644. If TCS students would like to receive the alert messages, they must provide the office with their cell phone number.
In order to assist us with our communications, please contact the main office if you have had a change in your address, email, or phone number.
Please remember to send in exact change along with your specific order in an envelope each day. Example: Student name – 2 cheese pizza slices and 1 chocolate milk. This will help teachers begin classroom instruction on time each day. Thank you.
Dress Code reminders:
Please review TCS’s dress code in our handbook located online at www.tcspioneers.org. Students are expected to know the dress code and follow it appropriately. You may direct questions regarding the TCS dress code to the respective building principals.
Temple Christian School’s 2017 yearbook is available for purchase, while they last. Cost is $40.00. Please contact Mrs. Searcy (email@example.com) if you are interested in purchasing one, or simply send cash or a check with your student, made payable to Temple Christian School with “Yearbook” in the memo line. A limited number of previous yearbooks are also available. Sale prices for previous yearbooks are: 2016 ($30.00), 2015 ($25.00), and 2014 ($20.00). Thank you for supporting Temple Christian School!
Student Medical Records/Information:
Please make sure that you have turned in all of the required medical and other required paperwork from the summer packet that is posted on our website. The TCS website is www.tcspioneers.org. Packets are also available in the elementary office. Please remember that if your child needs to take any medication (prescription, over the counter, cough drops, etc.), they must have the medication and paperwork signed and turned into the office.
2017-18 Immunization Requirements for 7th and 12th grade students:
Incoming seventh graders for the 2017-18 school year are required to have a Tdap vaccination and the Meningococcal vaccine. The Meningococcal vaccine is also required for students entering 12th grade in the fall of 2017. This is a state requirement that went into effect last year. Students without proof of vaccination can be subject to exclusion from school.
Immunization Record Deadline:
All new students, as well as those in K5, 7th and 12th grade must have their immunization records turned in to indicate they have met all required immunizations by September 13th . This is the 15th day of school, the deadline instituted by the state of Ohio.
Box Tops Program:
A reminder that we are collecting Box Tops in the elementary. We hold periodic drawings to reward those students who participate. We would appreciate any who could help us with $10 gift cards to child friendly places such as Menchies, Toys R Us, Walmart, etc.
You are invited to join us for our chapel services. The middle school and high school chapel meets on Wednesdays at 8:15 a.m., and the elementary meets on Fridays at 8:15 a.m.
