Hello TCS families. I hope everyone has had a good week. Matthew 28:5-6 says, But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said! Come, see the place where He lay!” As we prepare to celebrate Easter, we can praise the Lord for loving us, giving His life for us, and for conquering death so that we might enjoy eternal life with Him. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.
5th Grade Science Project:
How windy is it?! The fifth graders made anemometers to check out wind speeds on Monday. By counting the 1-colored cup’s rotations, they determined that the wind velocity that day was 8 m.p.h. The weather unit in science proved to be quite interesting. And it was nice to have a little extra recess, too!
Scholastic Arts Spotlight:
Two TCS seniors have been selected to be featured on WLIO’s “Scholastic Arts Spotlight”. TV station personnel came to Temple on Tuesday of this week to interview them and to record some footage of them in their fine arts classes. Brody Bowman is being honored for his achievements in the visual arts, and his story will be aired on FOX News at 5:00 and 10:00 PM this Tuesday, April 16. Dakota Clay will be recognized for his musical accomplishments on Tuesday, May 14. You can watch the news programs live at https://www.hometownstations.
The TCS Spring Choir/Band Concert will be held the week after Easter on Thursday, April 25, at 7:00 PM in the LBT Auditorium. Band students in grades 5-12 and Choir students in grades 6-12 will be performing that evening, along with a few featured performers. We look forward to sharing our music with you!
Spring Musical and Art Show
The TCS spring musical and art show is taking place this weekend in the LBT main auditorium and lobby. The students are presenting Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Tickets are $8 and are available at the door.
