Hello TCS families. We are excited about the beginning of a new school year. Praise the Lord for our
increased enrollment this year! TCS is beginning the 2019-20 school year with 254 students, which is an increase of 15 students from the end of the 2018-19 year. Thank you for choosing TCS. Our mission at TCS is to glorify God by providing for students a Christ-centered education marked by excellence and grounded in Biblical Truth. We are trusting the Lord for a great year. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.
New staff members:
Please welcome the following new staff members to TCS: Christopher Hartman (3 rd grade), Aubrey Sutherland (4 th grade), Morgan Miller (5 th grade), Amber LaPointe (elementary aide), Shelly Zwiebel (school nurse), and Erin Cooper (high school intervention aide).
We are also pleased to announce that Kerri Motter will be teaching high school art this year, while maintaining her food service and intervention aide positions. Also please welcome Lora Szuch as our new elementary chapel coordinator. We praise the Lord for His provision each year.
Student Medical Records/Information:
Please make sure that you have turned in all of the required medical and other paperwork from the summer packet. The summer packet is available in the elementary office and can be found on your website www.tcspioneers.org.
Please remember that if your child needs to take any medication (prescription, over the counter, cough drops, etc.), they must have the medication paperwork signed and turned into the office. Medication should be brought to school by parents, rather than students. Prescription medication forms must be signed by a physician.
2019-20 Immunization Requirements for 7 th and 12 th grade students:
Incoming seventh graders for the 2019-20 school year are required to have a Tdap vaccination and the Meningococcal vaccine. The Meningococcal vaccine is also required for students entering 12th grade in the fall of 2019. This is a state requirement. Students without proof of vaccination can be subject to exclusion from school. Immunizations must be obtained by the 15 th day of school.
2019-20 Immunization Requirements for K5 Students:
Please make sure that all K5 students have had their appropriate immunizations for the school year. Immunizations must be obtained by the 15 th day of school.
Witness Wear order forms are due on Friday, September 6th. Our first Witness Wear day is September 4 th . Students may wear old Witness Wear items or blue and white items, along with a pair of jeans on Witness Wear days until our new Witness Wear arrives. Once our new Witness Wear arrives, students must wear the 2019-20 items. Old Witness Wear items and blue and white items will no longer be permitted. Order forms are available in both offices.
The Homecoming committee is looking for volunteers to assist with our Homecoming activities the weekend of September 27-28. If interested, contact Stacy Menke at 419-236-5070. Thanks for your help!

You are invited to join us for our weekly chapel services. The elementary chapel meets upstairs in the 4 th grade room on Fridays at 8:15 A.M. The middle school/high school chapel meets in our chapel room located just south of the gymnasium on Wednesdays at 8:15 A.M.
Positive Referral Donations Needed:
Each week in grades 6-12, we recognize a student for his or her
positive contributions to the TCS atmosphere. Teachers can “write up” students for their positive
actions and service to TCS, and each week they are entered into a drawing. Would you be willing to
donate $10 Gift Cards for these positive referral winners? Last year we were able to reward 30+
students for their positive attitudes and contributions to their peers and teachers. If you would like to
help, please notify Mr. McPheron at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop off your donation of gift cards or cash to the HS office (labeled “Positive Referral”). (Examples of gift cards: Taco Bell, gas stations, Menchies, movie theatre, fast food, etc.)
