Hello TCS families. Spring is here! Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you. Have a great weekend!
“Hello, Dolly!” Musical:
Our much anticipated musical will take place on the evenings of April 6th,7th, & 8th at 7:00 P.M. each night. Tickets are $7 and are on sale in the high school office.
Synopsis of the musical:
In 1890s New York City, the bold and enchanting widow Dolly Levi (Kaitlyn Sutton) is a socialite-turned-matchmaker. Her latest clients seeking assistance are the cantankerous “half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder (Brody Bowman) and a young artist named Ambrose (Adrian Williams), who is in love with Horace’s niece, Ermengarde (Anna Acklin). Dolly’s scheming soon involves Horace’s employees (Ethan DeLeon and Judah Whitman) as well as a New York hatmaker (Kierstin Kirkendall) and her assistant (Abigail Durst), as she tries to cover up her own secret romantic designs. The “Hello Dolly” production also includes many other students in the chorus, singing and performing the choreography for the many musical numbers. A big thank you goes out to all of the directors, along with those in charge of costuming, lights and sound. Also, thanks in advance for the parents and others who will be helping us set up the stage on Saturday morning March 25th.
“Hello Dolly!” Meal Details:
Meal tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students 12 & younger.
Friday, April 7th (5:00-6:30) Baked Potato bar, salad bar, roll, butter, water, lemonade, coffee, & hot tea
Saturday, April 8th (5:00-6:30) Chicken Kelly served over rice or pasta, hot vegetable, roll w/butter, water, lemonade, coffee, hot tea (Gluten-free version of the meals will be available)
Desserts will be sold for an additional fee during the intermission of the musical.
Temple Christian High School 15th Annual Art Show:
Dates: April 6, 7 & 8
When: Before and after the “Hello Dolly!” musical each evening
Student art projects will be judged by Alison Corson Huffman (TCS art grad) and Barby Sloan (Bluffton University graduate and art minor)
Over the course of the next month, students will be participating in a variety of testing activities. Please refer to the emails sent out by your respective building principals regarding dates and times of the tests.
The Converge Youth Conference will be taking place on March 31st and April 1st at Elida High School and the Elida Fieldhouse. TCS students in grades 8-12 who register for the Conference will be able to enjoy an early release on Friday March 31st at 12:50 P.M. In order to leave school early, students must have a permission slip and proof of Converge attendance.
Please help us spread the good news about Temple Christian School by sharing TCS with your friends, families, and others you come in contact with. TCS families are eligible for a $300 tuition discount if they refer a family to TCS. The referred family must enroll in TCS and remain for at least one semester.
Mulch Madness will begin April 1st. Look for more information soon.
Re-enrollment has begun for the 2017-18 school year. An email was sent out on Tuesday Feb. 21st with four attachments regarding the re-enrollment process. If you would like a paper packet containing the re-enrollment materials, please stop in the elementary office. Re-enrollment fees if paid by March 31st are $100. Re-enrollment fees after March 31st are $150.
Families who are receiving Edchoice Scholarships must re-enroll for the 2017-18 school year before you can renew your Ed Choice Scholarships. The Ed Choice Scholarship renewal form and a copy of a utility bill must be turned into the elementary office by April 11th.
Host an exchange student for the 2017 -2018 school year:
We are looking for families interested in hosting an exchange student in their home for 2017-2018 school year. To begin the application process go to www.phs.asse.com. To secure students to Temple Christian School we must have host families. A monthly stipend is available for each student hosted. Please note there is a change in the T.R.I.P. calendar. There is only one more order for this year, and that will be on April 3rd. Online orders need to be in by 8 a.m., and checks need to be turned into the office by 8:30 a.m. on the order date.
