TCS Newsletter – Friday May 3, 2019

Hello TCS families. I hope everyone has had a good week. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.

National Day of Prayer:

On Thursday of this week, Temple’s High School Band and Choir participated in Lima’s community National Day of Prayer service, which was held from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM at the UNOH Event Center. The theme of this year’s event was “Love One Another.” The Band performed an arrangement of “Jesus Loves Me” for a prelude. The Band and Choir then led the audience in the National Anthem. In the midst of a list of community leaders and pastors who prayed for various concerns, the Choir sang “Go Light Your World” as a special number, accompanied by Mrs. Dianne Cooper, piano. At the close of the service, the Choir, along with Mrs. Cooper and Band members, led the audience in singing “America, the Beautiful.” It was a great opportunity to join with other believers in lifting up our community, nation, and world to the Lord.

Drone Presentation:

TCS middle school and high school students had the opportunity on Thursday to hear from Joshua Grappy, the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Coordinator for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. He discussed drone technology with students, explaining how drones are being used in various industries, as well as how they are used for public safety. He shared four different drones with our students and gave an engaging demonstration of one of them in flight.
