Hello TCS families. I trust everyone had a good last week of school. It is hard to believe that we are wrapping up another year. Thank you for allowing us to minister to your family. We hope that you enjoy your summer, and we look forward to seeing you back next year. May the Lord richly bless each of you. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God”. Here are a few news items we wanted to share with you.
The first day of school for the 2021-22 school year will be Monday, Aug. 30th.
We invite you to attend the Temple Christian School Graduation Ceremony tonight at 7:00 P.M. in the LBT auditorium. Join us as we honor and celebrate the Class of 2021.
If your child has medication at school, please be sure to stop by the office in your child's building today, May 28th to pick it up. Medication cannot be picked up by students. Medication that is not picked up by the end of school will be discarded.
New Family Recruitment:
Please assist us with the recruitment of new potential families. There is a $300 discount for referring a family that is accepted and stays at least half of the 2021-22 school year. See the elementary office for more information.
New Tuition Management Program:
We will be switching over from Smart Tuition to the FACTS Tuition Management program for the 2021/ 2022 school year. If you have any previous or unpaid balance through Smart Tuition, please pay the remaining balance through Smart Tuition. Those who are paying registration fees or tuition for the 2021-22 school year will be receiving an online payment plan invite from FACTS. Please go ahead and set up your payment plan through FACTS for the upcoming school year. For those wanting a 12 month payment plan, you will want to set up your account by June 4th. We would ask all others to get your plan set up in June as well so that your account is established in time to begin payments as scheduled. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Marie Brite in the business office at 419 227-1644 (Option 1) or by email at email@example.com.
Summer volleyball camp for grades 3-8. The camp will be held on August 4th and 6th.
2nd Grade Writing Activity:
The Second Grade's future's so bright they need shades! My class had so much fun with this writing craftivity. Students wrote about their dreams for the future. They have many goals, and I know they can accomplish anything!
During the 2nd semester, the 5th and 6th grade completed the DARE program with Officer Ted. As part of completing the program, Officer Ted celebrated by bringing in a magician for a magic show last week. After the show students received certificates and had cake.
The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders participated in a kickball tournament on Tuesday. There were several close games and great sportsmanship was shown by all. Congratulations to the Blue Team for winning the championship game!
All of the elementary students were able to "wave goodbye" to their current grade and "say hello" to the next while creating their art project this week. Each student was reminded of God's promise to them in Joshua 1:9 stating that God is them wherever they go.
The chemistry class studied solutions and freezing point depression this year. Today they applied what they learned and had fun making and eating ice cream.
Middle School Computer Classes:
In the middle school computer classes, we discussed how good computer programming is essential, but a good design is also necessary. The last two days of their classes, they worked on STEM projects that centered around good design. The first challenge was a paper airplane competition. The second challenge was a build a tower competition. In the build a tower competition, the towers needed to be able to hold a golf ball at the top for two minutes. The students did a great job!
This was our first year for a full semester Illustrator course held entirely at TCS! The four students who remained after the seniors' last day, completed a project that consisted of creating a design to be applied on a t-shirt. We were quite pleased with how they turned out. Great job students!
