Hello TCS families. We trust you have had a good week. Here are a few news items that we wanted to share with you.

Romans 12:2:  “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will”.

Seventh Grade English Project:

The 7th graders worked in groups to produce a Fairytale Breaking News Story. Working together, they had to choose a Fairytale, write a script, and then film a short segment. Not only did they learn a lot, but it was also a lot of fun.

Lego Robotics Competition:

The Lego Robotics students are currently designing and programming catapults for class.  They will have a competition next week to see which one throws an object the farthest.  They have already had competitions to see which robots could draw the best star shape, complete a race course the fastest, and win a race.  Some of the designs have been spectacular, and it's been great seeing the students critically think through creating their robots to complete the tasks at hand.

Third Grade Activity:

Our third graders have been working on graphing in math class. Students were given the opportunity to create three different graphs. They used the coloring of M&M's as their data. Of course they got to enjoy the snack too!

National Honor Society Induction Ceremony:

Congratulations to Temple's 2021 National Honor Society inductees! Leyton Chambers, Dawson Clay, Sabrina Heffner, Jessica Holloway, and Jarred Huffaker were inducted into the TCS chapter of NHS on Thursday, October 28th. NHS students embody the four pillars of leadership, scholarship, service, and character. They contribute to our school and community by exemplifying these traits and through various service projects throughout the year. Congratulations to all of our new inductees! Thank you to NHS Adviser, Mrs. Cooper, for leading this group of outstanding students!
